February 21-23, 2025

Klondike this year will be held at Belk Scout Camp the weekend of February 21-23. This event is usually held at Camp Grimes but due to the destruction by Hurricane Helene Grimes is not yet ready. We hope all Scouts can support the troop and our district by attending this event. This is a great opportunity to work on your basic scout skills an practice your leadership skills and potentially work on some rank advancement as well.

Scouts 13 and younger will participate in this year’s Klondike derby. Older scouts...14 and above...will have the opportunity to not only support their fellow scouts and camp at the derby, but will help run the program station (FIRE!!!).

The newest scouts in the troop, those crossing over to the troop in early February, should plan to join the troop as well for their first camping trip. This is an important opportunity for the scouts to learn how to camp with the troop, work on basic scout skills and experience a Boy Scout Camporee for the first time.

June 22^nd - 28^th, 2025

For 2025 the scouts of Troop 97 have decided to visit a new camp for the troop - Camp Rainey Mountain in Northeast Georgia.

The first payment of $215 is due by the 31st of January to secure your spot at summer camp. The balance of $215 will be due by April 15th. Please pay in person at a troop meeting or online.

July 26th - August 8th, 2026

Late summer 2026 the troop is headed out west! The troop will spend 10 days hiking in the backcountry of the Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimmaron, NM.
